3billion Accelerates Global Expansion of AI Variant Interpretation Platform

SEOUL, South Korea, September 9, 2026 — 3billion, an AI-powered rare disease diagnostics company, announced today that it is accelerating global adoption of GEBRA (Genetic Evidence BRowsing and Analysis), its AI-powered genetic variant interpretation software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, by strengthening the platform’s reliability and accessibility. 

GEBRA enables healthcare institutions and clinical laboratories to analyze and interpret genomic data in a single cloud environment, covering key processes from variant calling through final report generation. In an internal evaluation, GEBRA reduced the average time required for variant interpretation and reporting from about 120 minutes with manual expert review to approximately five minutes—up to 24 times faster. 

Since its launch last year, GEBRA has been commercially adopted by leading institutions, including Seoul National University and Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital in Korea, the National University of Singapore, National Taiwan University Hospital, and Mohammed VI International University Hospital in Morocco. Medical and research institutions in more than 30 countries, including the United States, Austria, and Saudi Arabia, are also using GEBRA or evaluating it for adoption. 

To support wider adoption, 3billion has strengthened GEBRA’s cloud infrastructure. The platform successfully completed the Foundational Technical Review (FTR) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and earned the AWS Qualified Software designation. The FTR assesses AWS-based software for security, reliability, and operational practices. 3billion will continue to maintain a secure and stable cloud environment for handling sensitive patient genomic data. 

This month, 3billion upgraded GEBRA’s online demo to make the platform more accessible to clinicians. Previously, users had to request a meeting with the GEBRA team for a demo account. They can now explore the platform’s interface and core features directly through the company’s website without either step.

The company also plans to expand its online webinar program for clinicians and genomics professionals worldwide. Featuring real-world variant interpretation cases and practical guidance on using GEBRA, the webinars will help prospective users evaluate the platform and support new customer acquisition.
