Sample requirements
Unacceptable sample
Samples from bone marrow/stem cell transplant patients.
There is a high risk of donor DNA contamination. While it is possible to perform testing using DNA extracted from skin tissue, we cannot guarantee that donor cells are not present in the skin tissue.
Samples from patients who received a transfusion within the last 4 weeks.
This patient can only be tested using a Buccal Swab. Testing can be conducted with other types of samples after 4 weeks from the last transfusion.
Contaminated or damaged samples.
Samples that are damaged or contain foreign substances cannot be tested. Please ensure the lid of the container holding the sample is tightly secured.
Samples that are not labeled.
The exterior of the sample container must have the 3billion ID clearly written.
