While 3B-EXOME covers all 20,000 genes in protein-coding regions, panel testing covers between a single selected gene up to a couple thousand genes.

New disease-causing variants are being identified every day, and 3B-EXOME can reanalyze the patient’s genetic information based on the newest evidence. Panel testing, on the other hand, can only reanalyze genetic information contained in the selected genes, which might be incomplete considering the most up-to-date information.
