    News | 23. 04. 07

On April 6th, 3billion announced that it had received accreditation from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) as a clinical laboratory in the United States.

This certification is separate from CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) and is managed by the California Department of Public Health under the state of California. 3billion received CLIA certification three months prior.

With the CDPH accreditation, hospitals throughout California will now be able to utilize 3billion’s genetic tests for diagnostic purposes and can claim insurance for the tests. According to the company, this is the first case of a genetic diagnosis and testing company in Korea to receive CDPH certification.

Changwon Keum, the CEO of 3billion, stated, “We are pleased to legally provide 3billion’s diagnostic tests for clinical purposes to patients in California with the completion of CDPH certification, and we will continue to strive towards providing fast and accurate diagnosis to more patients.”
