QWhat does “reanalysis” mean?
3billion’s reanalysis means that patients whose initial diagnosis was not successful are continuously analysed to reflect the latest findings and the patient’s new symptoms.
The initial diagnosis rate for rare diseases is only 30-35%.
This means that there is not enough evidence is available to make a diagnosis.
With more than 300 new diseases and causative variants identified each year, and the classification of variants changing, we update our database every day.
Newly diagnosed conditions identified through reanalysis are immediately reported to clinicians, and around 50 patients are newly diagnosed every month, which means 7% of patients per year can end their diagnostic wanderlust.
